In episode ten of Zora Talks, we interviewed Carla Christine, founder of Yoga Green Book. This online space promotes wellness through yoga and meditation by offering classes, challenges, and connecting members to instructors of color all over the country.

Carla’s journey began when she was diagnosed with anxiety. A friend was concerned for her and recommended yoga to help alleviate the symptoms. It proved to be transformational for Carla in her healing journey. She now hopes to inspire and empower everyone, especially within the African American community to reclaim their health.

We also talked about Carla’s mission to add more representation in yoga. Her mission is to change the image of yoga by representing different body types, genders, and age groups. Plus she gave us some tips on how to start practicing yoga. Listen now to hear more.
